The brief
As part of DRIFT Journal's six-weekly editorial calendar, I interviewed Louise Tremewan, a Cornish primary school teacher and marine conservation activist, about her experience with eXXpedition. This ocean-focused series of research missions, with voyages around the globe, seeks to research the extent of marine pollution its impact on our ocean environments.

Process
After reaching out to Louise and arranging a time to conduct the interview, I was able to gain an insight into her fascinating experience, sailing through some of the world's densest accumulation zones for marine plastic.
The result
This resulting editorial, running across eight pages, exemplifies the DRIFT Journal brand. It tells an important Cornish story of one individual's bid to tackle an environmental issue that's very close to the hearts of those living by the sea. Rich with imagery, with more than a glimpse into the experience of those on board with Louise, it's a story of courage and sustainability, providing an eye-opening first-hand account of the impact of pollution in our oceans.
