The brief
The brief for this piece was explore modern advancements in surfboard technology, highlighting key products within the market available through MAD Watersports. The goal was to help them to rank in searches by potential customers in search of a new surfboard. More than that, the goal was to position them as an authority within the watersports retail space, by looking 'beneath the hood' of the products in question.

Process
Research was the key here. The products had already been specified by the client, however, it was essential to dissect and simplify the technological advancements that made these boards so desirable, so that surfers of all levels and technical understanding could benefit from the content.

Combining my own research with keyword analysis from my marketing colleagues, I was able to write a piece of SEO content writing that ranked for searches around surfboard design, breaking down technical information for consumption by a wider audience and thereby positioning the client as an authority on the topic of surfboard design.
